I took this shot out of the window of the plane with my iPhone as we were coming in to McCarren Airport. It is good to be back and I'm really excitied and ready to take this program to the next level.....Let's go.

Back up North
I flew up to Reno today for the big January Board Meeting. I usually get a window seat so I can enjoy the view from 30,000 ft and grab some snaps. I couldn't see the ground for most of the flight but I got a couple of shots on the low approach to the Biggest Little City although I did get a stern request from the steward to turn off my electronic device. But the rebel in me grabbed the shot anyway then I turned and asked him, "Hey how come the wing's bent?" He just left me alone after that....Luckily we landed safely...phew!

Working from Mudd Ranch
Lovell Canyon Clean-up
We had a great volunteer project with a awesome group of folks coming out to the Spring Mountains NRA to make a difference. Over thirty folks turned out to clean-up of the main portal to the Rainbow Mountain & La Madre Wilderness. We then divided up into groups and some folks led by board members John & Hermi Hiatt hiked a mile in the Rainbow Wilderness to clean-up a camping area. The other Wilderness volunteers went up the Lovell Canyon road to the La Madre Wilderness and cleaned up a campsite and a shooter area inside Wilderness. The volunteers worked very hard and once again got a lot done and had fun while doing it. The day came to a close with a spirited snowball fight leaded by Ryan with the Circle K International Service Club with UNLV...Go CKI Rebels! Special thanks to everyone who gave up their Saturday for the greater good of the Rainbow Mountain and La Madre Wilderness Areas. Special thanks to the Mt Charleston Licence Plate Program, National Forest Foundation. REI and the Nevada Community Foundation for making this day possible through their support of this program.

Lovell Canyon Cleanup
It never ceases to amaze me how some people could care less about the Wild and others care so much. I had the privilege to work with 16 folks who really care last Friday. The weather was chilly and breezy but it didn't matter they worked hard and made a huge difference in Lovell Canyon. Special thanks to all that support this program .without your generous support this would not be possible
